When Pharaoh let the Israelites go,
God lead them around by the desert road
toward the Red Sea even though it was longer
than the other route.
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him
for Joseph had made his sons to swear an oath.
By day God went ahead of Israelites in a pillar of cloud
to guide them on their way and
by night in a pillar of fire to provide them light,
so Israelites could travel by day and night.
The pillar of both cloud and fire never left them once.
