God sent his prophet Nathan to David.
"I anointed you king of Israel and
saved you from Saul.
I gave you the kingdom,
and if those were not enough for you,
I would have given you more,
but, then, why have you done this horrible thing?
Because you have killed Bathsheba's husband,
the sword will be a constant threat to your family."
David broke down, confessed, and
asked for forgiveness from God.
Even though God forgave David,
God made Bathsheba's baby ill,
Then on the 7th day,
the baby died.
David comforted Bathsheba
and She became preganant again.
She gave birth to a son,
and they named him Solomon.
