(75) Elisha heals Naaman

 

There was a mighty warrior named Naaman.

He was suffering from leprosy.

 

One day his Israelite maid suggested Naaman

to go to see the prophet in Samaria

so he could be healed.

 

So Naaman went with his horses and chariots

and waited at the door of Elisha's house.

But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with the message:

"Go wash yourself 7 times in the Jordan river,

then you will be healed."

 

But Naaman became angry for he thought

Elisha would come out and meet him at least.

So Naaman turned and went away in a rage.

 

But his officer urged Naaman to just do as Elisha had instructed.

So Naaman went down to the Jordan river and washed himself 7 times.

 

And his skin became clean,

he was healed.

 

"Now I know there is no God in all the world except in Israel!"
